The dark green enamel for the stem has been sifted on and the remainder of the plastic stencil is being removed.
As with newspaper stencils, dropping lifted enamels on to the panel is a problem. The solution is the same. A large panel should be stood on edge and tilted just a bit further forward than upright so that it is facing slightly downwards. Then, when the plastic sheet is carefully pulled off, the pieces will fall directly on to the table or floor. This should leave behind the perfectly positioned, undamaged enamel shapes.
